Protecting Democracy from Cyber Threats

and

Combatting Epistemic Adversaries: Improving Democratic Deliberation Through Serious Games

This meeting was conducted jointly by two projects- Protecting Democracy from Cyber Threats funded by the National Cybersecurity Consortium (NCC) through the Government of Canada’s Cybersecurity Innovation Program (CSIN) and Combatting Epistemic Adversaries: Improving Democratic Deliberation Through Serious Games funded by the University of Calgary through its Transdisciplinary Connector Grants Program (Initiating Stream). A joint workshop was conducted considering the overlap and similarities in some objectives of  the two grants, to promote synergies, and to maximize output while minimizing spending. The event was organized on 21 and 22 June 2026 at the Grey Nuns Building, Concordia University in Montreal.

Researchers from the Faculty of Law and Departments of Computer Science and Philosophy at the University of Calgary and Department of Philosophy and Religion, Khoury College of Computer Science & College of Social Science and Humanities at Northeastern University attended the workshop.
